month eight

March 8-April 7

Milestones this month:

-turning in circles on stomach using hands (March 10-just over 7 mo)

-experimenting with cause and effect-what causes objects to make certain sounds, hammering, playing with race track

-turning pages in books-likes lift-the-flap

-sticking tongue in cheek and lower lip

-clapping (March 28-7 ½ mo)

-traveling across floor-scooting backwards, rolling, turning in circles, rocking

-pulling up on furniture-gets off bottom but not to feet

-lunging forward to hands or stomach-not yet to hands/knees

-sleeping through the night (March 19-7 ½ mo)

-getting up on hands/knees (March 31-almost 8 mo)

-using pincer grasp (thumb and finger) to grab small objects

-twisting, turning, leaning, reaching, grabbing-getting into everything!

a trip to the park

Saturday, April 2

Miller and I decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and go the park.

It was really crowded! So, we played in the sand while we waited for our turn on the swings. He wasn't quite sure what to think about the sand.

He was so fascinated by everything going on around him, that I couldn't get him to look at me for any pictures. I think the pictures turned out cute anyway!
